TRAVEL CONSIDERATIONS
1. We request that you arrive on the Queen Charlotte Islands at least one day prior to the start of your trip and that you make your return travel arrangements for the day following the end of your trip (or later). There is always the possibility that weather may prevent our pick-up zodiac or float plane from meeting us (this happens about one in ten trips) and we cannot be responsible for missed flights or ferries.
2. We highly recommend that you spend more time on the Queen Charlotte Islands before and / or after your kayak trip. It is a long way to come and there is so much to experience! We would be more than happy to share ideas with you and our “Links” page provides connections to the myriad of cultural and outdoor activities available throughout Haida Gwaii.
3. We encourage you to book your travel arrangements early as prices tend to increase and space availability tends to decrease during the peak summer season.

Provides daily service between the south terminal in Vancouver, BC and Masset. This is a short flight and potentially less expensive. However, you will need to get yourself down to Sandspit or Queen Charlotte City for the start of your trip.

Provides a 12-15 hour sail between Port Hardy (on northern Vancouver Island) and Prince Rupert through the stunning Inside Passage.
Provides a 6 hour sail between Prince Rupert and Skidegate on the Queen Charlotte Islands. Strong winds in Hecate Strait can delay ferry departures, so reserve your space on a sailing that leaves several days before your trip begins.

TRAVEL TO AND FROM GWAII HAANAS
We are responsible for your transportation to and from Gwaii Haanas. We will either fly or zodiac you down to Gwaii Haanas where your guides and kayaks await you.
NORTH ROUTE
Your trip will start and end in Sandspit.
We contract a local zodiac tour operator, Moresby Explorers Ltd., to transport you between Sandspit and northern Gwaii Haanas.
SOUTH ROUTE
Your trip will either start in Sandspit and end in Queen Charlotte City, or the reverse.
We contract Moresby Explorers Ltd. to zodiac you between Sanspit and northern Gwaii Haanas. We contract Inland Air (www.inlandair.bc.ca) to fly you between Queen Charlotte City and Rose Harbour.
