On Island Transportation

Getting around the Haida Gwaii/Queen Charlotte Islands is always a bit of an adventure! While there is no public bus system, there are several taxi and car rental companies, and Haida Gwaii/Queen Charlotte island residents are generally very helpful in providing assistance and direction.

CYCLISTS

While we do not have a bike outfitter on the Queen Charlotte Islands, the roads here are ideal for cycling. The one main highway that links all the towns on Graham Island is well-paved and there are very few motorists. A round-trip of Graham Island on bike could take as little as two days and as long as five days. So if you have some time before or after your kayak trip, bring along your cycling gear and extend your adventure!
