Three Day Tours
Hadia Gwaii represents an untamed wilderness landscape where humans still bow to the forces of nature, and we don't have to stray far to briefly glimpse this power. These guided trips depart from the Green Coast shop after breakfast, involve two nights of camping and return late on the third day. Our intended route will be determined by weather conditions and group preference and are at the discretion of our guides who are most-familiar with the area. They most often include paddling the Skidegate Inlet and Narrows, Bearskin Bay and Long Arm to the South and West of Queen Charlotte. After a full day of paddling, we pitch tents in a mossy forest and enjoy a fire-side dinner made from locally sourced ingredients.
We may use the second day to explore further into Long Arm where black bears are often spotted grazing on intertidal life. A person could spend a life-time investigating the intricacies of this spectacular region, and still not know all it’s secrets. The final morning we'll slowly find our way back to town. This trip allows guests an opportunity to learn about Haida Gwaii, observe wildlife, and practice the art of kayak travel by making the most of our beautiful surroundings. Green Coast can provide all necessary camping equipment, and paddling instruction, so long as participants have appropriate clothing and an adventurous spirit.
